"I met and was under the care of doctor Pate after a traumatic emergency c-section in which I developed an infection. Due to the infection I was left with a large deep wound in my abdomen.

Doctor Pate was extraordinary in her care and practice. She treated me with the most kindness and compassion. Dr. Pate believed my body could heal itself. Her positivity and encouragement helped my healing process immensely. Each time I came to have my wound vac changed, Dr. Pate made sure to care for me. She knew I had experienced such traumatic events that she did not want to have a nurse remove the wound vac and replace it. Dr. Pate also got to know me and went out of her way to help me feel comfortable. I have very sensitive skin, and doctor Pate was patient and would slowly remove the tape dressings using alcohol swaps to allow the adhesive to release and not pull my skin.

Dr. Pate went above and beyond throughout my treatment. She would explain what treatment she was performing and help me feel safe and relaxed. It can be difficult to have someone care for an open wound. There is a need for trust and comfort to have someone treat a wound in which they are literally inside your body. Doctor Pate understands the trust that needs to be nurtured for a patient to heal.

Doctor Pate is the most exceptional doctor I have ever met. I am so grateful that she came into my life and that her gentle physical and mental touch guided me to heal fully. Doctor Pate is not only brilliant and specialized in her practice, but her care for the whole patient makes her able to change your life."

I had a one month old wound that was infected and wasn't healing properly. After several trips to Urgent Care and multiple rounds of various antibiotics, my primary care physician referred me to Rocky Mountain Wound Care Specialists (RMWCS) and Dr. Pate. We had tried to get appointments at wound care divisions at the major hospitals, but they were booked out for weeks and this wound needed attention ASAP. RMWCS staff got me an appointment in less than 24 hours. Dr Pate was absolutely exceptional in her approach, her wound care management, and treatment of the wound. She explained in detail everything she was doing and WHY she was doing it, which I greatly appreciate. She worked on my wound for over an hour in order to make sure all the detritus was excised, but I never felt like she was rushing to finish so she could get to another patient. That was very reassuring and I appreciated the fact that she took a great deal of time to ensure I never had any pain with the procedure. I cannot recommend her and her clinic highly enough. She is positively OUTSTANDING!
